The SMSTS training, or the Site Management Safety Training Scheme is a five day course provided by tutors to over ten thousand people each year. The course is ideal for those in any role of responsibility within the construction industry, or for anyone looking to become a site manager in the future. This course is strongly regarded as one of the best ones available and provides you with a thorough health and safety training background within the current legal guidelines.

Construction site managers and supervisors have a legal duty to ensure the health and safety of their fellow workers and the public. Not only are there laws and regulations to adhere to, there is a moral duty to do all that is possible to prevent accidents and injuries onsite. Therefore SMSTS training is a necessity and a requirement. Attending the course can show you comply with the laws and prepare you to manage a safe site at all times.

The SSSTS training course is a 2 day an accredited site supervisors safety training scheme for the construction site supervisor, these are generally referred to as SSSTS training courses.

The supervisors safety training scheme is now a requirement set out by the major contractors group for all supervisors who will be working on their sites. Construction skills and health and safety need to go hand in hand and made a priority to encourage improved work skills and reduced accidents and injuries. Delegates attending SSSTS courses and who successfully complete will receive a certificate to show that they are able to help supervise in the construction industry and have understanding when it comes to health and safety in the work place.

This 3 day first aid course is a 3 day traning recommended by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Upon completion, this makes you a fully qualified first aider with the skills to deal with any situation.

Alongside meeting these requirements, you will also be equipped with the knowledge and skills to administer a wide variety of first aid techniques in the workplace with confidence – from treating minor wounds to saving the lives of colleagues in life-threatening situations.

This 3 day course includes course materials, expert tutoring and practical exercises to give learners in-depth training in the following information and treatments: Upon successful completion of the multiple-choice question paper and practical exercises, each learner will receive an approved and nationally recognised First Aid at Work certificate which is valid for 3 years.

If you are applying or renewing a CSCS Card, you will need to book and pass the Health, Safety and Environment Test first. Wether it is for a Site Operative, Machine Operative, Site Supervisor, Site Manager & other Professional positions book your test today.

To apply for a CSCS card you must demonstrate your occupational competence and, in most cases, you must also pass the Construction Skills Health Safety and Environment Test within the previous two years. The aim of the Health, Safety and Environment Test is to examine knowledge across a wide range of health and safety topics in order to improve safety and productivity on site.

Polish Safety Services is not accredited with or associated with CITB. Price of the test is £22.50. All documents presented by the candidate as identification must:

• be originals (no photocopies or digital copies)
• be in date (valid) at the time of being provided (not expired)
• be in the candidate’s name (which must match the name on the test booking).

Candidates must provide one form of Primary ID. The Primary ID must include the candidate’s:

• full name
• a recognisable photograph
• signature

Choose one of the following:

• Passport (UK or International)
• Photocard Driving Licence (UK or European)
• Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) or Biometric Residence Card (BRC) - only to be used as primary ID with a signature. If candidates do not have the required form of Primary ID, they may present two forms of Secondary ID.
  
  This must include one from List A and one from List B.

The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require employers to ensure that all employees are trained and competent in manual handling.

This 1 hour Manual Handling Training Course provides the necessary information and training for organisations to understand more about the risks associated with manual handling, how to undergo a risk assessment and how to ensure appropriate control measures are put in place.

The manual handling course is aimed at all levels of employees who may undertake manual handling operations, including the transporting of a load of items by lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving thereof by hand or by bodily force

The Work at Height Regulations 2005 require employers to ensure that a sufficient risk assessment is carried out so that all potential work at height risks are effectively identified, controlled and managed.

Every employer must also ensure that employees are appropriately trained to ensure that they can carry out their work safely.

This 1 hour Working at Height training course helps you to comply with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 by providing employers and employees with the necessary information needed to be able to successfully deal with working at height risks and control measures. This includes an understanding of how to undertake a working at height risk assessment, how to use access equipment safely and how to ensure that employees can reduce their risk of falls from height. Anyone who works at height in any place, including a place at or below ground level, is required to undertake training to prove that they are competent and safe in their work.

On completion, certificate of achievement is issued.

Asbestos is an incredibly hazardous substance that causes serious ill-health to anyone who disturbs it. For this reason, anyone who is likely to disturb asbestos in their work must have an awareness of the correct health and safety procedures to follow.

Asbestos Awareness (Category A) training helps workers to understand the risks associated with the material so that they can avoid work that may disturb asbestos. This 2 hour course provides a comprehensive introduction to the dangers of working with asbestos and helps employers to comply with the law by ensuring that their workers are appropriately trained in order to work safely.

All workers who are likely to disturb asbestos containing materials during their normal work should be trained so that they can work safely. This Asbestos Awareness (Category A) course is suitable for anyone who may be exposed to asbestos as part of their work so that they understand the dangers and can avoid any work which may disturb asbestos

Note that any workers who plan to carry out work which will knowingly disturb asbestos require a higher level of training, (Category B or C) which is not supplied by this course. This course does not allow you to work with asbestos containing materials.
